Hello everyone,

I know the process for registering on the website is a little confusing, so I want to provide a "quick start" guide to ease the process.

You will need to activate your player information on the official FFXI Linkshell Community. You will need your POL ID and password to log in. Your POL ID will consist of four letters followed by four numbers (XXXX9999). Please bear in mind that your POL login info is different than your Square Enix ID/password [unless you happen to use the same two passwords.. but thats a security conversation for another day;)] From there, choose the your character and server (should auto-populate). You will also want to connect your Retrospect linkshell to this character/content ID.

Once you complete that, open a new window or tab and click "Register" on the Guildwork site. It will ask server name, character name, and the name of the linkshell (Retrospect).

To confirm your account, it will give a random string of letters and numbers, and ask you to update your comment on the Playonline site with this information. Go back to your open POL linkshell community window/tab, and click "profile" at the top of the page. Then select "Character Profile Settings" on the right-hand side. Paste the string of characters from Guildwork to the comment section, and save your changes.

If you return to the Guildwork tab/window and click finish, it should successfully register your character.

If this process is too much of a pain, or if you simply do not wish to cross-register your character, you can create a unlinked account here. Please note that any unlinked accounts are subject to verification that you are a linkshell member; any account deemed not to be a member are subject to removal by the administrators.
